The DIG holds an annual QSO Party.
This contest is the perfect opportunity to work with many (new) DIG people.

The QSO Party is held 3 times:

HF-Phone: The second full weekend of March. (8/9 March 2014)
HF-CW: The second full weekend of April. (12/13 April 2014)

VHF / UHF: The second Saturday in May. (11 May 2014)

Several times a year, so-called “Kurzkonteste” are also held at 80 meters.
Rules as with the QSO Parties.
These “Kurzkonteste” are held in 2013 on the following dates:

Spring:
5 June 2013: 80m cw from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm UTC
6 June 2013: 80m SSB from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm UTC

Autumn:
October 2, 2013 : 80m cw from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm UTC
October 3, 2013: 80m SSB from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM UTC

Rules for the HF QSO Parties (2 separate contests)

Date:
Phone The second full weekend of the month of March
CW: The second full weekend of the month of April

Contest times:
Saturday: 12:00 – 17:00 UTC at 10, 15 and 20 meters.
Sunday: 07:00 – 09:00 UTC at 80 meters.
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM UTC at 40 meters.

Participants:
Licensed radio amateurs and listening amateurs.

Exchange:
RS (T) and DIG number. Non-DIGs only give RS (T).
Each station may be worked once per band.

Submit your log in!

When a minimum of 10 logs are received from a country, the highest ranked in that country receives a nice slice.
So please submit your log in, even if you only make a few connections. A small effort, the highest ranked Dutchman will be grateful!

Points:
Every connection with a DIG er counts for 10 points.
Every connection with a non-DIG er counts for 1 point.
For SWLs, QSOs between 2 DIGs count for 10 points, between DIGs and not DIGs counts for 1 point. Every DIG er can be entered 10 times as a counter station.

Multipliers:
Every worked DIG member counts for one multiplier, regardless of how many bands it has worked on.
Each country according to the DXCC / WAE list counts for one multiplier, this per band .

Final score:
The total number of points obtained multiplied by the multiplier.

Prizes:
The winners will receive an engraved cup. The numbers 2 to 10 receive a large certificate.
The best participants per country receive a “Spezial Trophy” when at least 10 participants from the country concerned have participated. The best YL will also receive a trophy. All other participants receive a reminder QSL with the ranking achieved.

Rules for the VHF / UHF QSO Party

 

Date:
The second Saturday in the month of May.

Contest times:
144 MHz: 13:00 – 16:00 UTC, all modes.
430 MHz: 16:00 – 18:00 UTC, all modes.

Categories:
Only for licensed radio amateurs.

Exchange:
RS (T) and DIG number and QTH locator. . Non-DIGs give RS (T) and QTH locator.
Each station may be operated once per contest period, connections via relays are not valid.

Points:
Calculate points separately for 2 meters and 70 centimeters.
The distance per connection determines the number of points: every kilometer is one point.

Multiplier:
Every worked DIG member counts for one multiplier.

Final score:
The total number of points obtained multiplied by the multiplier.
If you participate both at 2 meters and at 70 centimeters then submit a separate log for both tires !
